Training and Workshops
EAP Solutions professionals are experienced in providing a full complement of training programs and educational workshops. From employee orientation to a supervisor training, the wide variety of workshops available are designed to help all employees build the skills they need to succeed at work and at home. In all types of workgroups: Educational programs have been shown to improve staff satisfaction and provide valuable preventive information. When presented by knowledgeable professionals, these programs also can serve as a bridge to services for employees interested in EAP counseling. Educational workshops are also available for managers and supervisors. For your organization: In order for your organization to effectively monitor requests for training, consult with your Human Resources Department prior to scheduling a workshop or training session. EAP Solutions will work one-on-one with your organization to ensure that each training or workshop is tailored to your needs and objectives. EAP Employee OrientationEmployees are offered a full overview of free and confidential EAP services available to them and their families including support, consultation, short-term counseling, assessment and referral to resources, appointment scheduling, 24-hour emergency consultation and educational opportunities. Personal DevelopmentThe workshops in this category help employees to manage their emotions, improve their communication skills, manage through stressful situations, prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and adapt to ever-present changes in their work and personal life. Interpersonal SkillsGood communication skills are crucial to relationships at work and at home. In addition to learning to communicate effectively, being sensitive to various social styles and adapting to others can improve productivity and work satisfaction. Focusing on respectful and appropriate behavior and learning skills to resolve conflicts is mutually beneficial. EAP Supervisor TrainingEAP Supervisor training assists supervisors in identifying performance problems and in learning the skills to resolve them. Training is comprised of 30-60 minute presentations describing the EAP and ways supervisors can use it as a tool to improve productivity and absenteeism. The sessions highlight symptoms of work decline and awareness of how personal problems may be affecting performance. When performance issues are involved, we advise that consultations with both Human Resources and EAP occur. The supervisor training increases a supervisor’s knowledge of the Employee Assistance Program and provides skills for referring employees to EAP. EAP Online Supervisor Training is also available as arranged through your EAP account manager and Human Relations department.
